CANCELLATION POLICY

traviv is an ardent believer of transparency and fair dealing, that’s why, at the time of booking the ticket, we give our customers an invoice enlisting the actual fare, taxes, handling or shopping fee and cost of additional services (if any). This helps the customers in knowing what all are they paying for and there’ll be no chance of confusion, in case of cancellation or refund.

  • Following are a few things that traviv wants you to know when you decide to cancel your booking or are looking for a refund:
  • You’ll be eligible to get a refund only if the flight that you’re paying for mentions that your fare is refundable. That’s why traviv recommends you to go through the terms and conditions of respective airlines prior to booking.
  • Charges like taxes or any miscellaneous fee come under additional charges, and are influenced by the Government. These charges will either be included in your fare or will be itemized separately on the checkout page so that you know the actual cost of your trip. As per the rules and regulations, tax rates will also be applied at the time of ticket purchasing.
  • If your fare is refundable, you’ll be charged a processing fee by traviv Customer service for all permitted cancellations.
  • traviv offer to cancel the tickets without charging any cancellation fees if it is done within 24 hours of booking (Except LCC Airlines). The traveler needs to contact the customer service of the traviv. You’ll be notified that your request has been received and you’ll be notified of the same in a short while. Please note that this message doesn’t necessarily mean that you will get a refund, but it’s just to let you know that your request has been acknowledged.
  • All cancellations are subjected to be done over the phone only.
  • Refund requests will be accepted if only the cancellation and refund has been applied through traviv and the airline allows the same.
  • Customers who are ‘no-show’, i.e., passengers who didn’t reach before the scheduled time of their travel, will not be eligible for any refund, in any case.
  • In case your airlines approve of your refund, the exact time or date for the process or refund can’t be mentioned. The entire process, from receiving your refund request to reflect the same in your account, might take of 60-90 days.
  • Airlines are liable to charge a penalty amount on the refunded fare amount in case of cancellation. Apart from penalties, a processing charge from traviv will also be charged. Please note that this processing fee will only be charged if the customer has received the refund and the rules of airlines permits such refunds.
  • If the concerned airline fails to process your refund, the processing fees charged by us will be refunded, but not the booking fees for the original travel booking or reservation.
  • traviv holds no responsibility if you see any kind of fluctuation in the taxes while booking the tickets. A non-refundable fee that will be charged for every ticket has been mentioned as a part of the price of the actual ticket.
  • If your itinerary needs the issuance of the paper tickets, then only the handling and shipping fees will be charged. If your tickets are rerouted, returned or undelivered, then, in that case, you'll have to pay an extra re-handling fee. If this fee is applicable, it'll be mentioned in your contract, already.

Itinerary changes/refunds/cancellation

The air travel itinerary is supposed to change if permitted by the airline fare rules, and you might have to pay the change fee, which is charged by the airline itself, ranging from $200 and $500 on every ticket. This rate varies according to the carrier, market, and specific fare rule. Also, if you have made any changes with traviv into your itinerary, then there will be a processing fee, which will be charged for each and every ticket. While most of the tickets are non-refundable once booked, some of the tickets are fortunately refundable by paying a fee which varies from $200 to $500.

Baggage and other ancillary airline fees

The airlines will need you to pay some extra charges at the airport for some specific services and/or if you have crossed certain limits as mentioned by the airlines. One of such activities is a number of airbags or weight allowed, as some of the airlines don't offer a free baggage allowance. During the process of booking, traviv will provide a summary of the key terms related to an airline’s baggage fees, but you must consult each airline for complete details about the baggage and other ancillary fees.

Entry/Exit fees

If you are traveling abroad, then some countries or airports will charge fees upon entering or exiting the country. This fee will not be included in the price of the ticket or the taxes and fees that we display before the purchase of the ticket. For more details on the entry/exit fee of any specific country, you can check online before the departure.

Cancellation Rules for LCCs

traviv.com does not include Low Cost Carriers (LCCs) under its Cancellation & Refund Policy. It means that the tickets booked for an LCC are non-refundable even when the customer cancels it within 24 hours of booking. This holds true for all the LCCs listed on our portal, irrespective of the refund policy governed by the airline.

Below is the list of LCC Airlines covered under Low Cost Carriers (LCCs). For any support, feel free to call us on our toll-free number.
